I have my first hangover of 2020.
Today I leave. There’s not a lot else to say as not much else happened as I pottered through my last few hours in the Falklands helping clear up from last night’s activities and carrying out any menial task that did not require too much thought on my part. The strong winds caused some concern over whether the flight would make it, exacerbated by the commercial-flight tracking application that Nigel had not showing my aircraft. There followed a mad rush to get to the airfield when phone calls not only confirmed the inbound flight but also that check in was only open temporarily. Nevertheless, we made the airfield in time and after the usual administrative hurdles for the second time in my life I began the long journey home from the Falkland Islands.
